Discover Porto on an exhilarating 4x4 tour. See Roman excavations and visit a charming mountain village. The adventure starts with a free pickup at your Porto accommodation. Next, head to the mountainous regions inside Porto Mountains Park where you will see Roman mines (from the outside only) dating back to 2000 years ago. From the top of the mountain, enjoy panoramic views and numerous photo opportunities. Next, move on to an old and isolated village in the mountains where you can observe the local community in their daily activities and life. Continue the tour by traveling along the River Ferreira where you will see watermills, one of which is still used by local residents to eat and drink in the mountains.

Depart from the convenient meeting point in Porto and head to the Peneda-Gerês National Park, the only national park in Portugal and the best place to go for a hike. Travel around 1.5 hours from Porto along with your experienced guide as you head to the heart of the park to a trail designed to be a bit tougher but much better than other trails. Embark on an 11km circular track with 700m elevation gain (350m uphill and 350m downhill) on an uneven terrain, something much more challenging than a normal hiking trail. Take in views of the national park’s lagoons, the Cascata do Arado waterfall, and villages as you go. Midway through the trail, stop for a well-deserved picnic in a fantastic spot with stunning views of the surrounding scenery. Afterwards, begin the ascent and end the trip with a drop-off back in Porto.

Two remarkable structures included in the Arouca Geopark, part of the World Geoparks Network since April 22, 2009, and winners of 2022 Best Nature Tourist Atraction in Europe. The 516 Bridge, one of the longest suspended pedestrian bridges in the world, is an exciting 516 meters long that will make your day. At the end of the walk, enjoy and recover your strength with the region's cuisine with a view over the Paiva river. It will be challenging and it will be amazing!

Benefit from pick-up at your hotel in Porto, and then journey to the town of Régua. Explore the beautiful wine region of the Douro Valley by 4WD vehicle and venture off road to escape the usual tourist crowds.  Journey through the mountains that rise steeply from the banks of the River Douro, and see the amazing vineyards that produce wines with Portugal's highest DOC (Denominação de Origem Controlada) classification. Stop for a picnic lunch and soak up the amazing views. Continue to a local quinta (winery) to sample some of the fortified port wines produced in the region. On this tour visit Braga and Guimarães. Braga is the oldest city in Portugal and extremely rich in culture and tradition. It offers an abundance of old squares and churches all over the city! After unraveling the wonders of Braga, head to the medieval city of Guimarães, which is regarded as "The Cradle of Portugal". Walk through the streets of Old Town, a World Heritage site, and visit the main sights and monuments. In Braga a few of the places you will visit are, the historical center of the city, its cathedral, the Good Jesus Sanctuary and the Sameiro Sanctuary. In Guimarães you will also visit its historical center, the palace of the dukes, the cities castle and the Saint Michael Chapel. On the day of your tour, you will be picked up at your accommodation. During the whole tour, a guide will tell you about the history of the places you are seeing, so you can make the most out of your trip to Portugal! After the tour ends, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
