What people are saying about Egyptian Museum of Turin

Although the Egyptian Museum is better-known and probably more popular (judging from the crowds), we especially enjoyed our tour of the Royal Palace. It is very well preserved and there are fascinating collections (for instance the weapons and armor collection). Of course, the mummies and other artifacts from Egyptian antiquity are also extremely interesting. Our tour guide was dynamic as well as a captivating presenter who spoke excellent English. Combining a visit of the Royal Palace with the Egyptian Museum is a great idea for those with limited time (this was our case), although people may get a little tired at the end (4 hours of standing or walking).

Sophia was first-rate. Excellent spoken English, deep knowledge of Egyptian history that far exceeded the basic tour script, welcomed questions, has great enthusiasm for the subject matter, pointed out nuances that we absolutely would have missed on our own or even with an audio guide, she brought the museum to life, and was personable.

Our guide Salvatore was extremely knowledgeable and interesting. One of the best guides we have had. We highly recommend him.

Excellent guide, very knowledgeable. Interesting museum, takes you beyond the Hollywood clichés of ancient Egyptian culture.

Excelent!! Our guide, Sophie, was great!. Very helpful
