We were picked up at 4.25am and then made our way towards Luxor at around 5am having picked up the last passengers, a total or 6 people. The mini bus was new and had A/C. The seats were comfortable to an extent. The journey there took 5 hours there, with some lovely sunrise views while driving through the mountains. The drivers were friendly and looked after us. Once we got to Luxor, Nana, the tour guide was very friendly and passionate about ancient Egypt, very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We went to to Karnak Temple for around 1 hour, more than enough, then went on the river nile to beat the traffic, ate at a restaurant. Then we went to The Valley of the Kings and paid extra to see Tutunkamun which was definitely worth it and you cannot miss it if you are in Luxor. Then went to Temple of Hatsheput. The journey back was 5 hours and slept most of it arriving at 9.30pm. We were given plenty of water throughout the journey. Do bring cash and food

The trip was very well organized and enjoyable. The guides were very kind and made sure everyone was enjoying the tour. We booked the tour with all admission fees included and we only had to pay 10 EUR per person for the boat ride on the Nile to get to the lunch spot (you can also skip the boat ride and go by bus but we recommend to go via boat since it was very nice). Lunch was an open buffet at a restaurant, it was fine but nothing special. Nana was an amazing guide, very fun and knowledgeable! Overall we enjoyed the experience very much and we recommend it.

For everyone that wish to see Luxor and are staying in Hurgada my advise is HAVE PATIENCE. With it being 10 hours drive it's a long journey! That being said however we couldn't ask for a better experience, our guide Nena was very great, super prepared but also funny and with a lots of anedocte about modern life in Egypt. If I'd have to do it it again I will look for her for sure!

The tour from Hurghada to Luxor was incredible and one of my favourite parts of my trip to Egypt. The size and beauty of the temples, statues, and tombs were breathtaking. Thanks to our guide Nana, for making it such a great experience with her knowledge, story telling as well as energy and passion for the history.
