Visit one of the highest natural lighthouses in the world, the Mazatlan Lighthouse, with an expert guide. Find out about the history of this important landmark, and hike to the top to enjoy panoramic views from the Cristal de Mirador lookout point. What we know today as the Mazatlan Lighthouse is settled in what once was an island. With a length of 641 meters (701 yards), a width of 321 meters (351 yards), and an altitude of 157 meters (515 feet), the Mazatlan Lighthouse offers the ideal place to enjoy 360-degree views of the bay landscapes. I absolutely recommend this tour! We got tickets just the night before and they promptly replied. They picked us up on time and drove us in a small van to a place about 45 minutes away. THE CONS: They said our destination was 45 minutes away, but frankly the trip seemed to last twice that much. The ride was painfully long and the road had so may curves I ended up dizzy. I still recommend this tour: just mentally prepare for the long ride, relax, or nap. THE PROS: Everything else. The ATV ride was super! I'm a grandma who had never ridden one, and I had a blast. The guide was friendly and we went over all kinds of terrains--even water! He took great photos of us on an "ify" bridge our kids loved! The food was plentiful and delicious. We were 2 and got food enough for 4-with the cook preparing tequila-cheese fondue at our table for show. They took us to a tequila tasting in a cute room where the most adventurous could taste snake tequila--we just tried other flavors. Take this tour!
Terrific excursion! Everything from Jorge, our cab driver, to Chayo and his zipline crew was great!!! The lunch...FANTASTIC! The best food we had on our entire trip. The town that hosts is quaint, authentic and welcoming. The tequila factory was fun to see, small but great tequila! The drive out is about 45-60 minutes but TOTALLY worth it. I highly recommend. Thank you gentlemen for a fun day!
Everything and everyone were great. Not much of an ATV rider, but route was relatively easy to ride. Scenery was fantastic even the part of the that the herd of cows let us share. Food was excellent. People very friendly. Even the taxi driver Omar was informative. Would highly recommend for all ages.
Wonderfully kind and considerate guides, amazing food, top notch tequila, and great memories!
