Its origins date back to the Phoenician Karalis, developed on a settlement traced back to the third millennium BCE. During Roman times, it became the capital of the island and in the Middle Ages, it was the seat of different foreign dominations, evidence of which is still visible throughout the city today. Enjoy this walk through the narrow streets of the old district of Castello to discover the beauties of the city. Among Medieval Towers, Bastions, the Royal Palace, and the Cathedral, you will discover the history of this amazing fortress facing the sea. The panoramic points of the Castello will offer unforgettable views of the city and of the sea, of the Molentargius’ Park, and the Devil’s Saddle in all their beauty.

Glide through the history of Cagliari, Sardinia’s bustling capital, on an easy 2.5-hour tour by self-balancing Segway. Following a brief training session to get you up to speed on how to handle the easy-to-operate vehicles, your guide will lead you down ancient streets and through lovely parks, while a fascinating history unfolds via the complimentary audio guide with earphone set. Much more fun than a walking tour, and more eco-friendly than driving, the Segway tour visits major attractions such as the Roman Amphitheatre on the hill of Buoncammino, where gladiatorial combats and executions were once held. Pass the 13th-century Cathedral of Santa Maria, and marvel at the Romanesque and Gothic façades concealing precious objects of great religious significance. Admire the monumental Bastion of San Remy, built by the Spanish between 1897 and 1903. And continue to Elephant Tower, the second highest medieval tower of Cagliari, characterized by a small elephant sculpture that symbolizes the impregnability of the city. Departure is at 10 a.m. from the Port of Cagliari. Once seated, we will set off to visit our first stop, Cala Regina, where we will stop for snorkelling and a refreshing swim in a turquoise sea. We will continue our tour to discover Mari Pintau, which means painted sea. Here too, you can dive, snorkel and have a packed lunch (not included and to be brought from home) or alternatively buy lunch on board as an extra, having informed the staff in advance. Afterwards, we will conclude the tour with a visit to the Baia Azzurra, a very picturesque beach whose promontory is topped by an ancient nuraghe, before heading back to Cagliari. The return to the port is scheduled for 5 p.m., for a total tour duration of 7 hours.

We will leave from the center of Cagliari to head towards the coast road that will take us to Villasimius. Along the way, we will see the famous Devil's Saddle and pink flamingos in the Molentargius Lagoon. Continuing, we will be able to admire breathtaking views and take unique photos. We will visit two completely different beaches. You will be able to swim in the crystal clear waters, snorkel and meet the fish of the protected marine area. You can walk on the soft sand or among the white granite rocks, surrounded by the Mediterranean scrub. We return to Cagliari at 3 pm after a relaxing excursion to the eastern beaches of Sardinia.
