I took my parents on this tour to get to experience Portland like a local and it did not disappoint! Our guide, Ross, was very knowledgeable in Portland’s history and even sang us a few ole’ Portland songs. We learned so much and had a wonderful time. The delicious cookie at the end of the tour was the icing on the cake. I highly recommend this tour if you’re in Portland for a few days visiting or even if you’re a Portland local…anyone can learn from this tour!

Our guide was very relaxed, welcoming and knowledgeable. There were just 4 of us on this tour so we could stop and ask questions whenever we liked. He showed us points of interest and recommended restaurants to try as well as other attractions to include in our Portland stay. We would encourage others to try this tour.

I truly enjoyed the historical tour of Portland. It was my first visit to the city. I had visited Maine forty years ago but only visited the small coastal towns. Portland has an amazing history and my guide, Brent, was outstanding. During the two hours I learned volumes of the history of the city and how the city is fast changing/growing in so many ways. Be sure to wear your sneakers as the cobble stones the English shipped over in the bow of their ships were used for paving the streets. Brent explained that the English ships returned to their mother country with the bow filled with lumber from the beautiful Maine forests.
