Full description

Discover Palermo, the chief town of Sicily, on an open-top, hop-on hop-off bus tour! Start from the terminal outside the Politeama Theater, cruise past the Massimo Theatre, and continue towards Piazza Quattro Canti and the nearby Vucciria Market. The tour continues towards the botanical gardens, passing near Palazzo Steri. After a quick glance of the central station, you'll find yourself in the vicinity of the Royal Palace, the Flea Market, and the Cathedral. Then return to the terminal along the ancient via Roma. The second route takes you to the beautiful villas of Palermo. Starting from the terminal outside the Politeama Theatre, admire the gorgeous English Garden and then continue towards Villa Malfitano and the wonderful Zisa Castle. The tour passes near the Mercato del Capo and the Massimo Theatre, towards the port, and then returns to the terminal in Politeama Square.

There were two routs and they were both very short, only 1 hour each. But, they were very informative and you see the main sights from the bus. Only problem was to find the initial bus stop. This mostly due to road construction. But, CitySightseeing Parlermo was not providing additional info on how the find the bus due to construction. Also the woman at the office was not helpful.

I really enjoyed it. We saw Palermo from the perspective of two routes. The guide on the bus was very nice and sympathetic to answer questions. The whole tour a bit short. The only trouble was finding the start stop due to street renovation, lack of information where to approach and where to look.

Good

Palermo is a very monumental city with a lot of history but the tourist bus needs to highlight very important aspects such as the old library and encourage visitors to visit. Then there are two complementary routes that appear in the brochure and it is not clear at all I have to pay in each of them an additional € 5 so instead of being worth € 20 cost € 30 but MONTREALE is beautiful worth visiting its cathedral
