Luxembourg: Nature and Castle Day Tour

1. Luxembourg: Nature and Castle Day Tour

Embark on a hop-on-hop-off day tour and discover the history of Luxembourg, from the Middle Ages to the modern age, aboard a modern convertible bus. See the eastern region, the Mullerthal, with its charming waterfall and walking trail, admire the medieval Castle in Vianden and visit Echternach, the country's oldest town. Program of the day: 1. Mullerthal trail and Schiessentümpel:  View the Schiessentümpel waterfall with its three water jets on the Black Ernz. Snap pictures at the most photographed site in the region, Luxembourg's Little Switzerland as we like to call it. Start a 45-minutes walking tour. 2. BeaufortEnjoy a 10-minute stop in order to take some photos and admire the vast forests. There is a Renaissance castle, impressive ruins of the 12th-century castle, and a Neo-gothic church. 3. Vianden Castle Explore the north of Luxembourg, a region full of steep valleys and breathtaking views. Discover the medieval town of Vianden and its imposing castle which attracts thousands of visitors annually. Admire the imposing castle that overlooks the town, the town wall with its fortified towers, and the town's chairlift. During this stop, you have 2.5 hours of free time to plan for yourself. We recommend that you bring a snack or a sandwich if you don't want to waste time in a restaurant. Otherwise, the time of the visit might be too short. 4. The old town in Echternach:  The city of Echternach, the historical and cultural center of the region, was founded in 698 by the Benedictine Monk Willibrord and is the oldest town in Luxembourg. Admire the most beautiful places and buildings, like the St. Willibrord Basilica, the Abbey, and the market square, during a 45-minute visit. After the visit to Echternach, you will return to your original starting point at Boulevard de la Pétrusse in Luxembourg City.

The friendly, knowledgeable guide provided a great time hiking around the region. We saw beautiful nature, trees and waterfalls in the area. My only wish was to spend more time in the hiking area because there was more which we didn't get to see- but had a good time none the less.

Great way to see the country in a short period of time. Driver was very friendly and had cards to explain the itinerary in multiple languages. Bus was very clean, new, and fancy and had usb chargers and leather seats.

It was one of the best tour that I've experienced for the past years ... for me the money i paid for this tour was totally worth it ... I would like to recommend this tour agency

A very nice, well timed, well guided trip around the countryside.

We had really good guides, everything worked out great
