Discovery of L'Aquila with guide Carla

We were curious about the state of L'Aquila 10 years after the earthquake. Some churches and palazzi have already been rebuilt, just beautiful! But there is also the other side. Many buildings are still in the scaffolding and there is a lot of activity. Then you have to know where you can walk safely and you do need a guide for that. Carla is a passionate storyteller, has been guiding in this city for 30 years, and knows better than anyone how in one night the city changed from a rich shopping city to a total ruin, and how she is now slowly starting to live again. A fascinating story. I would recommend it to everyone. We only booked 2 days before and everything went smoothly.

It was an extraordinary experience with the winemaker Marco. He explained everything and answered our questions. The wines were delicious and it was really fun to taste the different nuances. To match, there was regional food such as salami and cheese. The whole tour followed by a tasting was a highlight of our vacation in Abruzzo. Thank you for that!
