From Marrakech: One Day in the Agafay Desert with Overnight

1. From Marrakech: One Day in the Agafay Desert with Overnight

Embark on an extraordinary excursion to the seductive Agafay Desert. Get picked up by your driver at 12:00 PM from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Head to the beautiful desert of Agafay, less than an hour from the city and tucked just behind the Atlas Mountains. It is one of the world's most mysterious landscapes, composed of rocky terrain and Saharan dunes.  Arrive at 12:45 PM at the camp and check in to your tent for a warm welcome of tea and some delicious Moroccan pastries. Take time to relax and to marvel at the magnificent desert landscapes before a lunch of Moroccan salads and grilled meat, or a vegetarian option. If you have selected one of the add-on activities — a camel, quad, or buggy ride — they will commence after lunch so that they line up with the sunset. If not, enjoy free time to take in the calm of the desert. After sunset, a magical and unforgettable private dinner will be served. The menu will include a Moroccan soup, salads, three hot dishes, three kinds of Moroccan tajines, and a dessert consisting of seasonal fruits. Spend the rest of the evening by the charming campfire, gazing at the beautiful stars in the sky. The following morning, wake up for a hearty breakfast at the camp before heading back to Marrakech at 10:00 AM, arriving at 11:00 AM.

Agafay Desert: Quad Bike Experience with Lunch

2. Agafay Desert: Quad Bike Experience with Lunch

Ride the desert dunes on a quad bike experience through the Agafay desert. Jump on your quad and enjoy your trip to the desert. Pause on high dunes, take in views of the Atlas mountains, snap pictures, and enjoy a traditional Morrocan lunch in a nomadic tent afterward. Get picked up at your accommodation in Marrakech, and take in the urban and desert scenes as you drive toward your experience. Once there, listen to a briefing from your guide about how to drive and the day's itinerary. Then, take some time to practice in a large field before heading out. Embark on the trip towards the desert, following your guide. Take the occasion to pause on high dunes in front of the Atlas Mountains and take some great pictures of the natural environment. Continue the ride through the desert in between the dunes and nomadic camps before using an air compressor to dust off for lunch. Enter the Berber tents, grab a tea, and relax. There, a typical Moroccan lunch is served of Moroccan salad and olives, Tajine, fruits, and tea. After lunch, your driver will bring you back to your hotel in Marrakech at the end of the experience.
