I really wanted to visit Spinalonga and it was the highlight of the day. Having read The island by Victoria Hislop and The Eagle of Spinalonga by Nike Azoros it was very much on my bucket list. It did not disappoint and I could easily visualise where action had taken place even though lots of the buildings are derelict. I would really have liked to spend longer on the island and a shorter time in Elounda but that is probably my personal preference. The guide was good and her commentary informative. I thought the tour was reasonably priced and we were aware that we had to pay extra for the ferry and entrance to Spinalonga. Note that if you are a student or 65 and over you get reduced price entrance; however you do have to have proof so a student card, if you are a student and a driving licence or your passport if 65 plus. This is the same for many of the archaeological sites on Crete so well worth carrying them around with you. We really enjoyed the day.

Me and my children had such a wonderful time on this trip and have all agreed it was the best day of our holiday. Ourania, our guide was amazing! Her knowledge along with her welcoming and kind attitude made her a fabulous guide. The scenery was among the most beautiful I have ever seen! Absolutely spectacular! Spinalonga was full of sadness but so very interesting. We had time at every place to go off and do our own thing which was perfect. Would recommend this trip to anyone. Thank you!! :):):):):)

Good day out in the beautiful east coast of Crete.

Comfortable bus ride to East coast of Crete, followed by a boat ride by a local charter, lunch on board with a stop on Spinalonga, finishing with a short stop in Agios Nikolaos. Wish we would have visited the island before swimming in the bay. Avoid buying any food/drink at Spinalonga: huge rip off (5 euro for 330 ml of water???). Otherwise, decent way to spend the day.

Our guide Emmanuella was charming and fantastic. Good amount of time at every destination. Sights very beautiful. Good to get a chance to explore alone but get to so many things in a day. Pack swimming costumes and towels if you want to swim (the water is crystal clear and beautiful everywhere). Saw a turtle! Best day of our trip.

I had the time if my life on this tour as a solo traveler. It was ran very efficiently and on time. I love the lunch spots by the beach at Plaka, very pleasant and beautiful view. Bring swimsuit. Elounda didnt have much to see other than a beautiful beach with public WC and changing room and outdoor shower area.
