What people are saying about Agios Nikolaos

Prompt departure although I don’t understand the logic of being picked up from the restaurant, might as well meet in the harbour less than a 5 minute drive away with plenty of parking. Friendly staff but not much information or introduction given. Fast boat which was quite fun but not ideal for people looking for a calm relaxing cruise. Shipwreck beach was good but of course very touristy, timed it right in between big boats leaving and new ones arriving. Blue caves were nothing special in my opinion but the snorkelling was great, remember to bring your snorkel as they are not supplied. No food and drinks on boats. Worth the money.

Nice somewhat long boat ride to the beach. We got 1 hour to walk around, relax, and take pictures at the cove. Afterwards, we go back and get to go to the "real" Blue Caves to stop and take more pictures from the boat, then swim around just outside of these caves. The water was very blue and clear that day at both locations. Other than the confusion about meeting at the restaurant and getting to the port, with 4 of the other tour members (the remaining 10 people apparently ended up getting picked up and driven to the port), the event was great relative to the money spent.

It was great to see Santorini but the crowd was horrendous!

The boat trip can be difficult for many people due to choppy waves. If you get sick from boat trips then you won't enjoy this trip. However, Santorini is well worth viewing. Unfortunately it is loved to death by the foreign traveller and you will find the crush of the crowd unpleasant. We did enjoy our experience, however, particularly an excellent meal at a Santorini restaurant overlooking the caldera. It is a very full and tiring day but worthwhile if you have stamina and are not affected by boat motion.

Best 25€ spent during our 4-stop European vacation.

Exceptionally courteous Captain and crew, they were knowledgeable, helpful and skilled. The smaller boat and arrival time at Navagio Beach made for a slightly less crowded experience, which was nice. The transit to and from the port was well executed, with the Captain pulling into areas or slowing down to allow for pictures. And the swimming spot at the Blue Caves was glorious.

The island is incredibly beautiful! It's definitely worth it to walk to the beach on the other part of the island to get a view of the Crete island and the turquoise water. But the boat trip wasn't that great. We were there at 10 am and left at 11:15. The crew waited for anyone who wanted to join. Considering the Coronavirus regulations, you could say the ship was overcrowded.
