1. From Amman: Jerash, Ajloun Castle & Umm Qais Private Tour

Start with pickup from your hotel in Amman and travel towards the ancient city of Jerash. A great tour of the historical sites of northern Jordan. My driver was Mohammed. He was a good driver, spoke good English and was fun to talk with. The car was in good condition. I would recommend this tour because Mohammed is one of the few drivers who takes tourists all the way up to Umm Qais which is close to the border with Israel/Palestine. The site looks onto the Golan Heights and on a clear day you can see the Sea of Galilee. The roman ruins there are well worth the visit and extra drive. The second site is Ajloun castle which is compact and in a fairly good state of repair which means that you get a decent sense of what the atmosphere was like there in the past. Finally Jerash is a huge and impressive roman site. It takes at least 2hrs to walk the well preserved ruins. Its worth adding that the drive between the places on the itinerary was enjoyable in itself because the hills and valleys offer some spectacular views on the way. A great trip which I recommend!

Nice day visiting the three northern Jordanian destinations included in this tour. Highly recommended: if you have already visited the south, this one-day tour complements it perfectly. At first we thought that the guide was included in the destinations, but indeed Emad confirmed that this was not the case: the platform is not very intuitive when choosing options in this regard. As for Emad, a very friendly driver who explains curiosities of the area, the country, and recommends where to eat or what to see in each place (even if it is not included in the tour).

There was a little problem at first: according to me, I booked an excursion to visit Jerash, Aljoun Castle and Umm Qais, but the agent insisted that we would only visit Jerash. In the end, I agreed to cover an additional amount and we visited the first two places. After all, I was very satisfied with the experience: the sites of Jerash and Aljoun are spectacular and very interesting because of their history. Our guide, Sam, was extraordinarily attentive and helpful, always displaying an excellent attitude. I definitely recommend it.

My guide, Mohammed Al Na’Na was excellent. He took me out of the way to show me some interesting things I wouldn’t have on my own. He was very professional and would recommend his services.

Mohammed was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and on time. Couldn’t have asked for more
