Explore three estate wineries on this wonderful small group 'Santorini Wine Roads' package tour with a maximum of 10 participants. Accompanied by the accomplished sommelier, Vaios Panagiotoulas and his team, you will learn about the soil and microclimate, the indigenous grape varietals and cultivating techniques, and more – all tailored to your level of wine knowledge – as you sip on dry white wines. Moving from one winery to the next, you also have a chance to see the biggest part of the island, pull over to visit a vineyard, and see how the vines are grown in the kouloura method for protection from the strong winds and harsh summer sun. Enjoy a unique tasting of distinctive volcanic wines in the wineries.
We really enjoyed this! The wine and history was fantastic, as was our guide Elsa. It was a fun way to meet other travelers (our group was 4 people in total). We would highly recommend this!
After being collected from your accommodation you will make your way to the archaeological museum and ancient excavations in Akrotiri. There you will learn about life before and after the Santorini volcano eruption on the island of Thira. Following that you will experience the popular Red Beach, where you'll have enough time for swimming and relaxing, and can enjoy the mesmerizing view of the divine landscape. A few meters below there is the different landscape of Black Beach, where you can swim some more and take photos. Pyrgos is your next stop. Its paved and narrow pathways hidden between many old traditional stone houses give you the sense that you are walking in an ancient town labyrinth. This village is located at the highest point of the island and just a few meters below the Monastery of Prophet Elias, which has been standing since 1711. Next, experience wine tasting in an area...
After hotel pick-up, head to the Prophet Ilias monastery on the island's highest point to admire a striking view over the entire island. At the traditional village of Megalochori, get involved with the local culture. This settlement is made of hundreds of small white painted houses, tiny alleys, tower bells, and beautiful blue-domed churches. Head south and relax at Perivolos Black Beach. Swim in crystal clear waters and optionally enjoy lunch at a seaside restaurant. Visit the Red Beach, and take amazing pictures of the volcanic landscape and steep cliffs. At the very southwest point of the island, visit the lighthouse for unique sunset viewpoints. Built by a French company in 1882, it is considered one of the most beautiful of the Cycladic Islands. Stop at Oia village, one of the most photographed places in Greece, for spectacular views and blue-domed churches.
If you are limited on time, this is the perfect tour for you. You get to see every key spot in the island. Great opportunity to get photos.

Stop at black and red sand beaches and visit a traditional winery to learn more about wine making on the island. Get dropped off at your accommodation, cruise ship port or other location on arrangement at the end of an amazing sightseeing tour.
I took the 5 hour private tour option of Santorini with my family (wife and two young daughters). Marcos was waiting for us at the airport to pick us up and proceeded to give my family the most wonderful day we have had on a tour. He was kind, courteous and extremely knowledgeable about Santorini. He was able to win over my 4 year old daughter who doesn't normally talk to strangers she has just met. He took us to all the major photo stops, but also took wonderful pictures of our family together. Kallisti tours was by no means expensive and the booking/arranging of the tour was very easy too. Stella (Kallisti's operations manager) was very helpful in giving us the right option for our tour. Marcos and Stella are wonderful assets to the team, but Kallisti tours for Santorini is one that I would totally recommend (as they customize the day to meet your needs and do everything in a comfortable, easy going way). Well done and thank you!
After getting off the ship, reach the top of Fira by cable car to meet your escort and begin your private shore excursion tour. The escort will have a suggested itinerary for you, however you may change the schedule as you wish. There, you will have a panoramic view of the island as well as the Prophet Elias Monastery. Next, head to the Akrotiri Excavations, the so-called Prehistoric Pompei or Lost Atlantis, an important Minoan Bronze Age settlement of the Aegean which was destroyed by a huge eruption during 17th century BC. The settlement was buried under the volcanic ash, which has preserved the whole city in perfect conditions. Next you can have a short photo stop at the famous volcanic Red Beach, well known for its unique sand color and soaring red lav...

Thomas was our driver for the day and customized our tour for exactly what we wanted to do. He was a safe driver and provided tons of facts and interesting details along our drive. We stopped in several breathtaking places to take pictures. Some were off the beaten path and places that tourists haven't quite caught on to yet. Took this on our honeymoon trip and would definitely recommend it to others. Great job Thomas!
