You will be picked up from the lobby of your hotel in La Fortuna, and after 25 minutes of driving you will arrive to the Peñas Blancas River. If you are looking to experience the wonderful central Cloud Forests and Rainforests that lie in the mountains and valleys in Braulio Carillo National Park near San Jose and see Rainforests on the Caribbean lowlands, this Tour is the best!! I enjoyed the Cloud Forests so much. Oscar, the guide was so kind and knowledgeable to help me fully understand and experience their geography. He is enthusiastic and loves Costa Rica and its nature! He took me on the best routes to ensure I could see the best views including San Fernando waterfall! The Sarapiqui river is a peaceful place in the Jungle. I saw numerous Howler Monkeys, river Turtles and many birds including Toucans, Kingfishers and Comorants. La Paz Waterfall Gardens is an impressive centre with very good facilities. It was wonderful to see Jaguars and Ocelots there at the centre. The waterfalls are mighty and impressive and the centre sits in a beautiful part of the mountains with incredible views. I had a great day! :)
