What people are saying about Alajuela Province

The tour operates on the premises of a farmland that has some preserved forested areas near a river. The guide is well equiped and provides a lot of interesting information about sloths and various species of plants and animals from the area. We manages to see about 3 sloths, although not necessarily all the body. For one we saw the body and legs, for one we saw the head. This is because the animals tend to stay quite high up in the canopy to hide from predators. We had a better chance to see a sloth on the side of the road another day.

The guides were amazing and we saw so much! 5-6 sloths if I’m remembering correctly. The snack at the end was delicious too! Highly recommend, but bring the bug spray and a towel to wipe your sweat!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and the area was very quiet with no other tourists so it we were able to take our time looking at, and photographing the sloths. Thank you.

Far exceeded our expectations. we saw 3 sloths, howler monkeys, a toucan and so much other wildlife. Karina was an exceptional guide.

Great short tour with a super nice guide. Highly recommended if you like nature and animals.
