Tickets for the Albertina Exhibitions

1. Tickets for the Albertina Exhibitions

In 2018 the Albertina Museum was named one of the Seven Urban Wonders of the World, located right in Vienna’s historic center. Its permanent display presents a survey of the most important artistic styles from French Impressionism, German Expressionism, Russian avant-garde and also an in-depth focus on Austrian art. The unique collection includes painting and drawings of Monet, Degas, Goncharova, Chagall and Kokoschka, just to name a few. The presentation is topped off by numerous chefs-d’oeuvre by Picasso, ranging from his early Cubist pictures to paintings from his experimental late period. Immerse yourself in imperial flair at the Albertina Museum: for around 100 years, the present-day museum building served as the residence of Habsburg archdukes and archduchesses. Bearing witness to this period are the 20 sumptuously decorated and painstakingly restored Habsburg State Rooms that sweep visitors away into the magnificent world of classicism with their precious wall coverings, chandeliers, fireplaces and stoves, distinctive marquetry and exquisite furniture in Louis-seize style originated from the royal French court workshops of Paris and Versailles. Browse through the collections on various topics such as the permanent collection, prints and drawings, architectural collection, photo collections, and various temporary exhibitions. Choose to add on a visit to the main Albertina Museum with a combo ticket for both venues.Upgrade your visit with a guided tour offered in four different languages (select the option Albertina Entry Ticket and Guided Tour). Available only in August/beginning of September.

We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was friendly and personable and added some great humorous touches to the tour… He started off by showing us a historic photo of our AirBnB’s building and revealing to us that it had once been a brothel, haha. We were very amused by this, and also thought it was cool he had done the work to find and show us the photo. We learned a lot about the history of Vienna and thought the tour was well paced. We definitely recommend this one.

Overall the pass was a wonderful option allowing us to decide what to see and when. The staff was wonderful and very helpful and provided some ideas on getting around which attractions were close to each other. The only thing I would say is make sure on day of arrival get there early to get your pass. We got there the day before but about an hour after 12 so we could not get our passes.

We had a beautiful walk around the landmarks of Vienna with our amazing guide Maria. Such a friendly and positive personality. We immediately connected and felt comfortable with her and really enjoyed her stories and insights about Vienna. She also treated us with a warm drink (orange punch) during a very cold day. Thank you Maria!

Maria is a wonderful guide - very highly recommended! She is very knowledgeable and gave us some great personalised tips. She also provided some yummy orange hot punch on a cold day. Don’t hesitate to book this Vienna tour!

Albertina Museum is not to be missed!! The exhibition of the works of Jean Michel Basquiat was unique! As well as the paintings from so many brilliant artists!!!
