1. Albufeira: Safari Excursion in the Algarve Mountains
Venture off the beaten path – literally – on an off-road adventure through Portugal's Algarve region. See beautiful landscapes, chat with local vendors, and snap pictures of the regional architecture. The day starts with pickup from a central meeting point. From there, you'll travel through traditional villages with stops to admire wooden windmills, Roman-era irrigation systems, and medieval monuments. Stop at a local market to try some regional products such as liqueur, honey, and jams, all made from fruit from the surrounding plantations. To cool off, jump in a traditional canal that's fed from water from the Algarve mountains. At the end of the adventure, your guide will bring you back to the meeting point.
