Full description

Take a break from the bustle of Toronto and head into nature for a day. Visit Canada's oldest provincial park on a guided excursion. Get picked up from the meeting point and drive to Algonquin. Spend an enriching 6 hours at the park snowshoeing, hiking, spotting wildlife, canoeing, and swimming.

Hop aboard the van in Toronto and head toward the park on a relaxing drive. If there's enough snow, put on your snowshoes for a combined snowshoeing and hiking experience. The activity begins with a short waterfall hike with views sure to take your breath away.

Walk up to this hidden gem and marvel at the water gushing over craggy surfaces and glistening in the sun. Continue onto Booth's Rock Trail Hike toward an amazing lookout over Rock Lake and the Algonquin Park woods. This trail takes about 3 hours but is paced for beginners. You don't need to have any hiking experience. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife as you follow the trails — you may just see moose, black bears, beavers, wild turkeys, and turtles. Pass by sparkling lakes and stop at lookouts along the way. Opt to take a swim around Popcorn Island, witnessing the natural beauty from yet another vantage point.

Hop in a canoe and your guide will lead you around on Canoe Lake. End the day having fully experienced the wonderful Algonquin Provincial Park. Get dropped off at the meeting point in Toronto.

We really liked this trip and it was well guided by our guides Mike and Bryan! The canyon trip was cool, even if to our feeling 2 h are a bit too long and 1,5 h would be perfect. One the small hikes we an incredible view. It would be nice to have more time on the hike, maybe possible with a shorter canyoning. Thank you for this experience!

Overall we had a great day. We were lucky with the weather. We would have liked the tour to start earlier so that we could get back to Toronto earlier in the evening. In addition, the canoe tour could have been shorter to do another small hike. We even saw a moose on the way out of the park.

3h journey one way. Canoeing was a great experience, but it takes just 1.5 hours to get off the dock and back again. You would need at least 3-4 hours to go canoeing properly. Visits to the beach and visitors center were unnecessary. Better to take a longer hike. The view from the lookout is really impressive, but the 25min walk is not a real hike. Conclusion: rather less different, but really experience it.
