Every decade, horticultural experts from around the world come together at Floriade in the Netherlands to present green solutions to make the world’s cities more enjoyable, beautiful, and sustainable. With food, live music, and art to see as well, it’s a great day out to delight the senses.

Depart from Amsterdam Central Station and head to the Floriade Cable Car. Take the 5-minute cable car ride which will provide you with great views over the park and help you to orientate yourself for your visit.

The seventh edition of the Floriade is located in Almere, in the very center of the country on land reclaimed from the sea. There’s so much to discover. Learn secrets about the art of gardening and how essential horticulture is to sustainability.

This year over 400 participants from around the world will show off their latest green innovations, solutions, and applications. There is no question that after your visit you’ll be inspired to enrich your own garden, balcony, or living room.

Meet at the local partner's office in the Ij hall in the rear of Amsterdam Central Station, on the right-hand side as you face the water. The local partner's office is called Tours & Tickets (look for the red writing). The office is in the back concourse of the station, on the side closest to the water.

Very good experience. I recommend this activity because the organization is perfect. The transfer by air-conditioned bus took place at the announced time and the driver even gave directions for the return in French. The duration on site is ideal because the site is huge and you have to walk a lot.

Very interesting unfortunately many pavilions were not finished and thus closed.

The place was unfinished with much of the land not planted, turf still being laid. Should have been told prior to going that the place was not fit for purpose. I felt robbed - the only good thing to say was the abundance of coffee and eating places and spotlessly clean toilets (not worth €69 euros for nice coffee places and toilets).
