Full description
Discover Amsterdam's most interesting places by solving clues around town that will unlock amazing stories. Along the way, find fascinating tales of the people who used to live, work or create art around the city center. Uncover hidden secrets about the places you visit, and try to find the famous lost diamonds of the Medusa ship. Each clue will lead you from one place to another, giving you exact directions so you won't need a map, a GPS or a guide. When you solve the clue and guess the answer, the secret story of that place is unlocked.  The tour will take you from 1.5 to 2 hours to complete, but there’s no time limit so you can finish it at your own pace. After you buy the quest, an access code will be delivered to you by mail, which will be used in the downloadable app. You won't need a guide, just download the app, go to the starting point and be ready to begin the adventure. To play as a large group, one person can purchase access for the entire group by selecting the number of people in the group, or each person can purchase their own ticket. All group members will receive access on their smartphones to play the city game. The person who makes the purchase will receive an email from the local partner with all the details. You can play as a group and solve the clues together as you walk or you can split into smaller groups/teams and compete against the other groups. Each person can also play on their own, separate from the group and meet the group at the end.

Super cool way to see the city, it was an educational trip. The puzzle was suitably difficult and it was great that you had to type in the answers along the way. We really enjoyed the trip. This was our first day in Amsterdam and we appreciated going through places where you could eat too. So we were inspired for the food later in the day. It was also fun to see the more secluded places than just the main streets.. We were a family of 1 adult and 2 teenagers going (12 and 15 years old) and it was fun for all 3 of us

You can do the scavenger hunt at your own pace, see places where you would otherwise only pass and learn the stories behind them. Running after a tour where you only half understand the guide and have to wait for the whole group to take their photos is, in contrast to the scavenger hunt, rather boring.

Very nice way to discover the city, it forces us to open our eyes to details that we would not have noticed. The end is a bit weird but the puzzles and the story kept us in suspense;) Small negative point, the meeting place changed several times, a little confusion at the time.
