Full description

Immerse yourself in the culture, history, and gastronomy of Guatemala City on this full-day tour. Meet your guide in the morning at your hotel and head into the city center, passing by 2 of the most important avenues in the capital, Las Americas and La Reforma. Learn about the significance and history of these locations, then visit the Civic Center to admire its architecture and decorated walls. Continue the tour into the city's beautiful Central Park next, then wander through the picturesque streets as you pass by the Cathedral, National Palace, Commerce Plaza, Aycinena, and Rubio. Later, walk "La Sexta", a pedestrian street, visiting emblematic houses and buildings of the 1900´s discovering stories about power, money, love, and poetry. Once you’ve worked up an appetite from your explorations, enjoy a traditional Guatemalan lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit a vibrant and popular market to admire the stalls, bursting with colorful fresh produce and handmade trinkets. As you stroll through the market, learn about the farming industry in Guatemala and shop for souvenirs. Your tour ends here, but you can choose to go straight back to your hotel or extend the tour with a trip to the National Zoo or Cayala City.
