What people are saying about Aqaba
The 21 hour trip is hard because of the driving (appx. six+ hours each way ),and a slow, very disorganized border crossing, but the Petra experience is worth it. We loved that we were able to go and next time, will plan a two-day trip with one night at a hotel. There is so much to see and nowhere near enough time to enjoy it all. Petra is absolutely astounding! Also, the "lunch" bag had terrible food - a plain, dry bagel with nothing inside, a very brown banana, one apple and one orange, a juice drink box (not real juice, but sugar and water), and an expired-date wafer bar. Our bar said it was good until December 2019 and clearly we are way past that . Considering we paid $300 pp, plus the extra fees of $125pp, a better lunch would have been reasonable to expect. Perhaps a quick lunch at a plaza cafe?
Very good organization and assistance at the border crossing in Israel and Jordan. Everything went very fast. And the trip to Petra ... waw! Nizar is the best...made all the money. An educated man, with a broad general culture, who presented us all the history of Petra, but also of the Middle East! Everiting is ok!
We all enjoyed the tour Our expectations about Petra were very high and they have been fully met The guide was very good and he provided a wide explanation of the site, the history and the culture of locals The bus was comfortable The food was good even if the location was not excellent and quite cold
Very well organised. It is a long way and crossing Israeli-Jordanian border is an experience in its own right but the organisers did their best to make it as smooth as possible.
Very good tour, perfect guide. However at least 1 more hour in Petra wouldn't harm.
