Full description

Day 1:

Start your tour from Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, or Eilat, depending on the option selected. Cross the border into Jordan and travel to the port city of Aqaba. Enjoy some time to relax in the city, before continuing to Wadi Rum. Arrive at the Bedouin campsite accommodation in Wadi Rum and take in your new surroundings and the scenic views. Once settled into the campsite, head out on a jeep safari tour in the afternoon as the sun begins to set and the air becomes cooler. Enjoy an overnight stay in the camp where you will indulge in an authentic Jordanian meal for dinner.

Day 2:

As the sun rises in the morning, enjoy breakfast and the view before traveling to Petra. Upon arrival, take a guided tour of this iconic site and get a deeper insight into the history of the ancient Nabatean city. See the most important structures of the site including the famous treasury, the Khazneh. Stay overnight at a hotel in Petra.

Day 3:

  Depart from Wadi Rum in the morning and explore Petra at your own pace. Revisit sites from the previous day, or uncover new ones. Hike to the Monastery and explore some lesser-visited parts of the complex. After the final day of sightseeing, travel back to the border and return to your original starting point.

  • The border fees ($65 USD) and Jordanian visa fees ($60 USD if you have not pre-arranged a visa) must be paid on-site. USD and Jordanian Dinars are accepted. No visa fee is required for stays of 2 nights or longer
  • Modest clothing is recommended (no short skirts, low-cut shirts, or garments revealing the midriff), headscarves are not required
  • The suggested tip for group tours to Jordan is $5 per person per day for the driver and guide
  • It is recommended to follow the customs and tip in order to ensure a high-quality experience for customers
  • Please bring your passport, sunscreen, sunglasses and hat, scarf, ATM card or cash, US Dollars or Jordanian Dinar for tips, and shoes suitable for walking

The 3 day Wadi Rum and Petra tour was such a wonderful tour! The boat cruise and swimming in the Gulf of Aqaba was such a lovely addition to enjoy the natural beauty of Jordan. Nizar, the guide was knowledgeable and explained the history of Jordan and Petra in extreme detail while also being hilarious and enjoyable to talk to. The tour allows for ample free time to explore the locations which gave the tour a very enjoyable relaxed pace. Thank you, Nizar for such an exciting adventure and the laughs in Jordan!

The Jordan side of the trip was excellent! Our guide Nezar was also top notch. And all of the accommodations exceeded my expectations. I went with my boyfriend and two other friends (so four of us). We also made some friends in the group over the 3 days. Details: starting out on the Israel side, you do not really have a guide, which is ok. We had a bus driver that spoke mainly Russian and used google translate. But once you reach the border, there are people there (in our case some British people) to help you cross into Jordan by foot to meet your guide and get onto your new bus. They are also there when you cross back into Israel, and help you board your bus back with the Russian bus driver. The whole operation is very international and we had a great time. My favorite part was Wadi Rum!

Great tour. I selected the 3-day option as I had read the extra day in Petra was worthwhile. The first 2 days were excellent, the guide was great. Border crossing from Israel into Jordan took several hours, many handovers to different people until finally getting through and meeting our guide; so just be prepared for waiting and handovers through the border. The final night in Jordan the group that had selected to stay an extra day were handed over to another "guide" who was not licensed and not professional. I unfortunately got food poisoning from the hotel buffet on the final night in Jordan, meaning the extra day to visit Petra was uncomfortable. By all means an extra day in Petra is great, but it is quite possible to see the Treasury in Petra in one day. The first day in Wadi Rum was incredible, the "camp" was very comfortable and safe, this was my favourite part of the trip. Ahmed was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide.
