Aquila Private Nature Reserve: Tours & Tickets
What people are saying about Aquila Private Nature Reserve
Enjoyed the day, although it’s a 3 hour drive including pickups from Cape Town. So be prepared. Not suitable for people with back issues as your bumped around a lot on the rough tracks and terrain. Food was a Buffett and was very good. You get one welcome drink on arrival and then it’s costs you. Overall you put in the Park for around 2.5 hours and then back in the taxi for 3 hours back. So prepare for a long day.
Absolute AMAZING. From start to finish the experience was excellent - I was staying with family in Camps Bay and they picked me up from my doorstep. The game reserve staff were friendly and informative. We saw so many wonderful animals and had lots of time to stop and look at them and take photos. The lunch was delicious as well. 10/10
It was more like a big zoo. Lions were in a semi big electric-fence-area. Saw all the big 5 except a leopard. Staff was very friendly. Mostly older people and families attended. Was a bit concerned the day before because the company didnt provide further information like get your guide suggested.
Wonderful trip where we saw lions, African elephants , hippos - in water, baby rhino (8 days old) with mother, ostriches, springboks, baboons, buffalo , wildebeest , zebra and a very distant giraffe. Guides were wonderful with great knowledge.
It’s more like a huge zoo rather than a national park. That Also means you chances to see all the animals is high. We saw 4 of the 5 and had a great time. Guides were nice. Drive from vape town to Aquila is about 2.5 hours.
