1. From Seville: Full-Day Aracena & Rio Tinto Mines Tour

Travel to the charming village of Aracena from Seville and visit the biosphere reserve of Dehesas de Sierra Morena. Discover an area so unique that Nasa has a base to study it on this day trip to the Rio Tinto mining area.  Hop aboard an air-conditioned vehicle and relax on the drive to the biosphere reserve of Dehesas de Sierra Morena. The reserve offers you the chance to see some of the bulls and Iberian pigs which inhabit the area.  Have the chance to visit a farm of wild bulls. Explore the Rio Tinto, an area that has been exploited for copper, silver, and gold for over 2000 years. See how this activity has changed the landscape of this area so much that it now resembles Mars.  Uncover how the main river here runs through old mining fields, transporting metallic minerals which turn the river into a reddish color when it combines with its mildly acidic waters, making life in the river nearly impossible.  Head to Aracena, a small town located in the middle of Sierra Morena. This is the capital city of the Natural Park Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche. Aracena has trails through its Dehesas which are full of cork trees, oaks, and free-roaming Iberian pigs. Visit the Grutas de las Maravillas, a natural cave almost 2000 meters long, full of stalactites and stalagmites formed by the water running in the limestone. Stroll through the cave and marvel at the fascinating rock formations and deep blue water. Next, take in views of the rural Mosque of Almonaster la Real.

Fantastic day tour! Super fun experience to also see a different side of Andalucia. Our guide named Peter made the day extra fun by his enthusiasm throughout the day. Because he spoke English, we were able to enjoy it to the fullest. It was really nice that he was able to tell us so much and it was also very nice that he joined us at our table during lunch! :) Definitely recommended this trip! Thanks again Peter for giving us a fantastic experience and sharing all the information and tips. But especially thanks for your enthusiasm and fun!

The caves are unique and special. Rio Tinto is also not something you'd expect to ever see anywhere again, the guide wasn't spectacular but tried the best she can. The nature made up for it, so overall I loved the experience.

Superb excursion with Miguel as a guide who knew how to welcome us and accompany us as it was necessary during this day. The caves are splendid, unfortunately photos are forbidden there. I recommend this excursion!

A very varied and interesting tour - the Gruta de las Maravillas in particular was incredibly impressive. Catherine guided us through the day wonderfully and entertainingly.

The mines were interesting to see but the Cave of Wonders was amazing!
