Full description

Depart Athens with your archaeologist guide with a “Smart-Eco-Pickup” at Piraeus Metro Station. Admire the Port of Piraeus, the largest port in Greece and the main sea-port of Athens since antiquity. Hear the secret stories behind this ancient port.

Board a ferry, from where you will feel the sea breeze with a nice cup of coffee whilst taking amazing pictures of the seagulls and surrounding scenery. After 1.25 hours and reach the island of Aegina, the "island of artists."

Have about 3 hours to walk around through the picturesque alleys, the charming local shops, and restaurants, as well as the traditional fish market. Aegina is well known for the pistachio nuts and taste these delicious products directly from a local producer.

See how these nuts are in various sweets such as baklava, kataifi, sweet cakes, ice cream, butter, chocolates, and liqueur. Hear the clatter of horse carriages in the picturesque squares of the island bring back retro memories of years gone by.

Purchase a romantic ride around the “chora” (the capital of a Greek island). Buy fresh homemade delicacies in a cozy tavern against the harbor, from a “balcony” above the sea.

From the explanation online we thought we were going on a private boat with refreshments. When we arrived to the meeting spot we met our tour guide, Stavroula, who told us that we are going on a ferry and there was a misunderstanding. It would have been nice to know ahead of time. Besides for that we had an amazing time. We loved Stavroula! She was inclusive, caring, and so interesting and fun. We enjoyed that the tour included different experiences on the tour and learning about the islands culture and history with an expert. We had fun with the others in our group and would highly recommend to anyone interested in learning, having fun, and trying new things!

A fantastic day (19/08) with a dark edge at the end. From morning to return a great day, well organized, lots of information from the top guide Stavroela dienons well looked after all day and gave a lot of information about Aegina and its history. Nothing more than Praise! Cheers! On return the black edge because Stavroela has arranged us a taxi but this one turns out to be all scams! Where we had booked a taxi through the hotel on the outward journey (€ 14.00!) the costs on the way back were € 40.00! After 11pm is double rate but it was 7pm SO PLEASE NOTE! There are taxis, the same yellow color as the "good taxis", that take people from the boat to location but charge more than double. Sad end to a wonderful day. Paul

We had a wonderful time on our day trip! My Husband and I were with 3 other people so it was a smaller group. Our guide Stavroula was amazing and very attentive. She wanted to make sure we all had a great time! You could tell she was knowledgeable and really enjoys her job.
