Panos was an excellent guide! Come hungry- there were unfortunately some disgruntled people on our tour that started complaining about “eating more food”… it is a good tour and there will be lots of it. To my surprise, we skipped a lot of the basics (koulouri, lukumades, gyros, etc) but that’s ok because we found those on our own. Our tour consisted of a place with lots of Greek pies, the meat/seafood market, Greek coffee, mezes, olives, and a place for olive oil/balsamic tasting (might be missing one). Was still a great tour!

Come hungry! Breakfast foods were plentiful and the souvlaki tasty. It was fun to watch how Greeks make traditional coffee, and our guide, Panos, was helpful in explaining the history of its origins. The oil tasting paired with the wine helped distinguish the different flavors of the oils and wines. We were able to purchase a few things at the market and then returned after the tour to pick up a few more items to bring home. A great way to experience the different tastes of Greece!

Excellent tour to some very traditional bakeries and restaurants that I wouldn’t have found by myself. It was so interesting to learn all about Greek specialities and to visit the market. Plenty of food and drink was provided so there was no risk of being hungry!
