The islands are beautiful and the staff is incredibly nice and knowledgeable. This was a very welcome excursion from Athens, and it allowed me to snap some of the best pictures from my trip to Greece. The experience on board is a little annoying because staff members keep trying to upsell you on many things, from the guided tours on the islands (which is fine) to the handbags and music CDs (a bit much). At times I had a hard time finding a quiet place to sit on board. The music was a little old-fashioned (but great for the older folks) and the food was just okay. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it.
We had a great day. You just have to go in like we did, expecting the big touristy boat with lots of people and overpriced drinks. You also need to understand the islands that you go to so I would recommend some research before you go. Hydra there is plenty to see without the optional walking tour; however, in hindsight we would have done the optional tour of Aegina as there was not much to see otherwise. Buffet lunch exceeded my expectations and was very well structured. A long day, but happy we had the opportunity to get out on the water and see the islands during our short stay in Athens!
We loved the island of Hydra, the friendly staff, and the delicious lunch. The island of Poros was underwhelming, with not much of interest to see. I think the time could be better spent on Hydra or the last island, Aegina. Aegina was lovely, but because we arrived on a Wednesday, many shops were closed.
This was a full day of exploring! Enjoyed seeing the islands and the lunch served onboard was excellent. Plenty of drinks and other snacks for purchase in between. Although, we never saw the Greek dancing and additional snacks as advertised for the trip. Crew was very nice.
Great way to see all the islands and jam packed. Lunch is included on the ferry and it’s a nice ride. You can sit up on the deck. There are optional activities too - I would suggest to do Aegina but not the Hydra one - you can walk around yourself.
