10. Athens East Coast: Discover Scuba Diving in Nea Makri

With this course you will learn the basics of scuba diving: the theory of scuba diving, the signs you need to use underwater and you will get familiar with the scuba gear. In the beginning you will use the equipment in shallow waters and then off you go a bit deeper to explore the seabed. The maximum depth to reach is 6-10m. Once you complete your Discover Scuba Diving course, you will get your completion certificate that you can use if you wish to follow up with your education in scuba diving.  You will meet with your instructor at the scuba diving center where you will have the theory lesson, a briefing on safety measures, and you will try the equipment Once you finish with the theory, you will have a 5-10 minute trial dive in shallow waters to learn how to use the scuba gear and how to breathe underwater. When you feel comfortable with the equipment you will then have a dive for 30-40 minutes down to 6-10 meters in order to explore the seabed. The duration of the activity is 3 to 4 hours and it is also available for kids from the age of 8.
