What people are saying about Atlas Mountains

We did the cooking class together as a couple and were lucky enough to stay as a couple. As far as Imlil (valley) we traveled with another group who had booked another tour with the same provider. This allowed us to visit an argan oil factory and have a delicious breakfast there. Afterwards we went to Imlil, where Hamid, our guide for the course, picked us up, took us shopping and took us to a small village where the beautiful riad was located. On the way we talked a lot with Hamid, he told us about his life and the everyday life of the Berbers. When we arrived at the riad, a nice young woman welcomed us, with her we then cooked our tagine step by step, prepared a salad and learned how to prepare the typical Moroccan mint tea. Two very interesting and warm people. It was a great pleasure for us to spend the day with them! An absolute recommendation for everyone! :)

An excellent opportunity to visit a traditional Berber village and spend time in the company of locals. Our Guide, Abdul, was extremely engaging and provided excellent information on the history of the wider area and village. The visit to the souk beforehand was also an interesting experience. If you’re interested in seeing how these small communities continue to function then I would definitely recommend this trip. Preparing and cooking the tagine was very enjoyable as was baking the bread. Afterwards, you might appreciate the slow pace of life of the village whilst also appreciating the electric oven you have at home! We’ll done to Abdul for being and excellent Guide and not forgetting Hassan, our driver!

This tour was my favourite of the several tours we did while in Morocco. It was amazing to go into an actual family home in the village and learn their tips and tricks on how to make a great tagine. It was the best chicken tagine we’ve had so far! We ate the meal on the home rooftop which had a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. I highly recommend.

Long but beautiful trip. Very nice viewing of the Atlas mountains and of the villages. We had a private trip with a 4 wheel car which is much better than traveling with a minibus. The driver was excellent and took care of all our needs on the way

An amazing and authentic experience! Our driver Hassan was great and made sure that we were back in Marrakesh in time to make it to the airport. Absolutely loved this day and learned how to make authentic tagine :)
