Great service very efficient even with the line wrapping around the corner outside the terminal. We only waited 40mins in-line and staff were offering water sunscreen and umbrellas. Well done to them. Maybe on the weekend they need to have some extra time slots to help it flow even quicker.

After purchasing the tickets via the App we headed to the harbour. There in plenty of time but, boy, the queue was long! I was concerned that I would miss our activity booking on Waiheke as we might not make the right ferry. The ferry company put on an extra ferry due to the large numbers waiting and within 1/2 hour we were off. It might say in the small print, but I haven’t read it😂, but you must exchange the e-ticket for a paper one at the terminal. One of the workers took us to the office and it was done in a couple of minutes. A seamless process from start to finish.

We did the 1.5 hour island tour with Kiwi Tuk Tuk. Was a great way to see the sights on the island and the stop to feed the eels was fun. The driver dropped us at Cable Bay vineyard for wine tasting and we made our own way from there to a fun filled day including lunch at Mudbrick vineyard 10 minutes away and kayaking near the ferry terminal.
