Follow a licensed guide on a poignant tour of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum and Memorial. After, travel to the Wieliczka Salt Mine and take a guided underground tour and witness beautiful chambers carved in salt. Enjoy a hotel pickup service on this unique combined tour experience from Krakow. Get picked up from your hotel and travel to the Auschwitz I Museum to begin your walking tour with a certified educator. Explore the remains of the Nazi camp's barracks, watchtowers, and crematoriums. With the help of the provided headset, listen as your guide tells about the ghastly Nazi crimes committed in the camps and hear stories of the everyday lives of the prisoners. Next, continue the tour at the Auschwitz-Birkenau II Memorial. Witness gas chambers and the remains of the railway which transported prisoners to the camps. After a lunch break, drive to the nearby town of Wieliczka to visit its famous salt mine. Prearranged tickets will be waiting for you at the salt mine along with a local guide. Start the tour inside the salt mine by walking down long sets of steps, taking you 135 meters underground and through labyrinthine passageways, tunnels, and shafts. See underground lakes, 4 chapels, and unique statues carved by miners out of rock salt. Experience a unique place to visit and a must-see during your stay in Krakow. Once the guided tour is over, take a lift from the underground back up to the main ground level to meet your driver. Relax as you make the journey back to your accommodation Krakow.

The tour was excellent but I also praise the human touch of our driver: after the tour in Auschwitz II my mother in law was too tired to continue with the salt mine so she waited for us outside in the restaurant were we had lunch. She's over 60 and her english is not good so we notified our driver Cristopher about it and he was so gentle to let her know once we were getting out of the mine and accompany her to the transportation, we were pleasantly surprised for his help :)

The organizers have to make changes to the description of the trip, advertising is a leverage of trade, but these are open lies. Customers are not picked up at the hotel, but all have to go to the meeting point. The same goes for the way back - you are not taken to the hotel, but somewhere around 500m from the hotel, if you do not know the city, GPS helps. If you come across a guide in Oświęcim (apparently) Mr. Krzysztof, it is worth talking to him additionally. A treasury of knowledge, professional and passionate. Magnificent! Beautiful and interesting Wieliczka, I recommend with all my heart. It's worth avoiding dirty Krakow and going straight to Wieliczka and the Salt Mine!
