About the activity provider

Bakkaflöt Travel service is family company with variety of accommodation and activity. It opened 1987 and since then it has grown to become a well established activity and accommodation base in the heart of Skagafjörður, North Iceland. First we started with 5 rooms in the guesthouse. Now we have 22 rooms in the guesthouse, 9 cabins, camping site, restaurant, bar, small swimming pool and hot tubs. In 1994 we started with river rafting and that has grown bigger every year. We run both West glacial river (family-grade 2) and East glacial river (extreme-grade 4). We have highly qualified river guides which most of them come from Nepal, all of them with IRF (International Rafting Federation) grade 5 Certificate. We also have paintball, wipe out and sit-on-top kayaks.
