Full description
On this tuk tuk tour, experience the city at night to see the lit up temples of Ayutthaya. The first stop is just in time for dinner as you will get to experience the local night market and explore different Thai dishes! Afterwards, start your journey to the 3 significant temples of Ayutthaya. The first temple on the itinerary is Wat Phra Si Sanphet, which was the holiest temple on the site of the old Royal Palace in Thailand's ancient capital of Ayutthaya until the city was completely destroyed by the Burmese in 1767. It was the grandest and most beautiful temple in the capital and it served as a model for Wat Phra Kaeo in Bangkok. Then, visit Wat Ratchaburana, which was founded in 1424 by King Borommarachathirat II of the Ayutthaya Kingdom and built on the cremation site of his two elder brothers. The two brothers had fought to their deaths in a duel for the royal succession to their father Intha Racha. In 1957, the temple's crypt was looted of a large number of Buddha images and gold artifacts. The thieves were later caught, but few of the treasures were recovered. Enjoy the last stop at Wat Chaiwatthanaram, which is a Buddhist temple in the city of Ayutthaya Historical Park located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, outside Ayutthaya island. It is one of Ayutthaya's best-known temples and a major tourist attraction. The tour will end with a transfer back to your hotel in Bangkok with a unique memory from your time in Thailand.

Great evening outing

Was picked up super punctually by Pond after confirmation of the pick-up time the day before. To my surprise, I was the only guest that afternoon, so it was a purely private tour. It was good that we got to Ayutthara easily through the traffic, so we could wonderfully experience one or the other temple complex in the golden evening light. I would have liked to have stayed longer in one or the other temple, but the program was very extensive and the time with Pond passed much too quickly. Our Tuck Tuck was a new rolling disco vehicle and really cool! Pond a lovable and extremely nice tour guide. He helped me with all the photos and was a prudent companion at all times. The same applies to the driver. All in all it was a wonderful evening, rounded off with delicious food at the market, just a pity that this experience didn't appeal to more people that day. Anyway, the price was worth it. Thanks again to Pond for his tireless efforts!

Disappointing excursions in which everything was frayed

This excursion was a disappointment in all respects. It already started that the excursion started 1.5 hours late because the booking had been forgotten. As a result, we left Bangkok much later and we were endlessly stuck in traffic. At the food market, the guide was particularly interested in the goodies she saw for herself. Contact with the guide was difficult; she hardly said anything about the 'food market' phenomenon and the products offered. After that we were torn around with a TukTuk where I saw only one of the three announced temples. And that was closed in the meantime so it could only be viewed from a distance. Then back to Bangkok. A visit to the toilet turned out to be a challenge. In the vicinity of the temples everything was closed. Refueling took place at an anonymous gas station without toilet facilities. And what was wrong at 20 meters? Exactly ... a gas station of a well-known chain with toilet. Within 5 hours we were back in Bangkok, despite the huge traffic
