Full description

Explore the top sights in Bangkok on this day trip. Visit the Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha, Wat Arun, and take a stroll through the vibrant and bustling old market in Chinatown.

Cross the Chao Phraya River on a boat ride. Begin your 7-hour tour with a pick-up from the main lobby of your hotel in Bangkok at 08:00 AM.

Then, visit the Grand Palace and Temple of Emerald Buddha, the former residence of the kings of Thailand since 1782, by local public transport. Learn about Thai history and culture from your personal tour guide. After the Grand Palace and Temple of Emerald Buddha, continue to Wat Pho or the Temple of the Reclining Buddha where you can marvel at the great Reclining Buddha.

Cross the magnificent Chao Phraya River by public boat to visit Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn. It is one of the must-visit landmarks in Bangkok where you can spot its famous giant tower, standing 70 meters high. Have an optional Thai lunch at the local restaurant before transferring to Chinatown by subway train.

Explore Chinatown and the old market to observe the local way of life. Your journey will end with a return transfer to your hotel in Bangkok.

Instead of using public transport, you can select the option to have a private air-conditioned car for your trip. There is also the option to book a private canal tour in Bangkok by long-tail boat for approximately 1 hour.

My wife and I selected the private tour with car, and both our tour guide (Time) and driver (Hua) were excellent. Time was able to guide us through the Royal Palace, Queen’s Silk Museum, and the resting Buddha taking pictures of us both at specific photogenic spots then using iPhone airdrop to deliver our pictures with excellent use of portrait mode. Our driver Hua was great at door to door service from our hotel, dropping us of as close as possible to each site and then picking us up with the air conditioning turned up and a cold towelette to refresh our face and neck cooling us down quickly. Time guided us through Chinatown and his recommendation for lunch was delicious.

Had an amazing tour day around Bangkok :) Our guide Gwen and Mr. Bong were so great, we learned a lot and saw everything at our own pace with the personalised tour. We loved the trip with them, totally recommend to ask for them when you want to visit Bangkok !!

Bangkok in a Day was the most wonderful start to our trip we could have hoped for! Lucky, our tour guide, was incredibly kind and had so much knowledge to share with us about Thai history, culture and the present day means of the temples and sites we visited. Not only was it amazing to have someone to translate for us, we had someone who knew the best spots for us to go to (who also happened to be an Ace photographer). 10/10 recommend this tour and 15/10 recommend Lucky as your tour guide!!!
