Help care for the animals by feeding them, gathering food and bathing them. Around noon, enjoy a buffet lunch before heading out to see the major attractions of Kanchanaburi. Visit the Bridge on the River Kwai, which is part of the infamous Death Railway, built by prisoners during World War II. Great trip but long distance 3h drive The highlight tour to kanchanburi you can save yourself it is not worth paying extra for it Feeding and stroking the elephants up close is wonderful, sometimes photos were offered that is not really my thing but anyone can do it do as he pleases. You always have the opportunity to take photos with the elephants yourself, an incredible experience, it was very hot!

The elephant sanctuary was very good. every keeper has his elephant and knows him. First approach by feeding, preparing food together, rubbing mud on elephants and then scrubbing them off while bathing, great. The keepers lead the animals if necessary with a loud voice and food, you feel very safe. Questions are also answered well. COVID has been tough on the reservation, but they're making the best of it. Our driver was also very good, he could tell us a lot about the city and the country. but you could also look out the window in peace. Only the bridge on the Kwai shown at the beginning could have been explained with the help of the board and pictures. we would only be led there briefly and had time to go over it.
