  • Sail along the coast of Barcelona on board a luxury sailboat
  • Visit a modern winery in Alella and its vineyards
  • Enjoy a wine tasting by a professional enologist
Full description

Have an exclusive sailing experience on board a luxury sailboat and sail to one of the oldest wine regions in Spain, where you'll visit a wine cellar and taste 4 Mediterranean organic wines.   Board a unique and luxury sailboat and travel along the coast while taking in views of Barcelona’s landmarks and skyline. While sailing, enjoy some snacks like olives, chips or crackers and soft drinks, beer, water, wine, or champagne.

After sailing, arrive at Alella harbor, and a private transfer will take you to the vineyard. Expert sommeliers will welcome you at this family winery, a beautiful 14th-century structure surrounded by vineyards and the Mediterranean Sea.   Stroll along its vineyards that have been cultivated for 25 years, now cultivated using modern and organic techniques.

The wines of Alella have a long history: during the Middle Ages, they were favorites in the Barcelona Cathedral, later becoming one of the quality wines exported from Catalonia throughout the world.

After a relaxing morning tasting 4 of their exclusive wines, return to the city in a luxury minivan.

A little disorganized at the marina meeting location with no signage or any indication of where the gathering of guests were to assemble. It did give the group a chance to mingle & get acquainted as we waited (& waited!). It was all good as soon as the mini-bus arrived to take us to the winery. The wine tasting & food sampling provided, under a vine covered arbor, was a great experience. Once finished, it was back onto the bus & off to the marina for a sail back to the Barcelona marina where we all initially met. A very enjoyable experience overall!

Our tour got “turned upside down”.We were taken by van up to the winery rather than setting sail. The winery was lovely. The wine master was very knowledgeable, friendly, and hospitable. Unfortunately because of the late start, our time at the winery was cut short. She did a great job; the wine and snacks were delicious. The boat ride back to port was very nice but we did not set sail. It was a boat ride. We were told we needed more wind. Overall we had a great time, but everything was not as advertised. At arrival in the morning the tour did not appear to be set and ready to go.

Both the vineyard and the boat trip back were great experiences and would totally recommend to anyone wanting to experience a different side to Barcelona. Giving it 4 stars only as the vineyard tasting was a bit rushed at the end and the boat trip was a bit unsafe if you don’t know how to swim (no life vests provided).
