Great value for money and very easy to use! The museum was stunning. I recommend coming in the later afternoon (I booked in for 3pm) as the museum is much quieter at that time. I recommend starting on the first floor as it has more diverse and colourful bodies of work and then working your way down. The ground floor rooms are stunning, but kind of repetitive in theme and colour (which is normal of those eras, but if you know you get bored quickly or won’t last several hours, you can whizz through these towards the end of your visit). The museum is sat on a massive hill (HUNDREDS OF STEPS) so be ready for that. I arrived an hour early so I could enjoyed a glass of wine from the cafe and the incredible view. A talented guitarist was there playing Spanish music and it was a picture perfect moment. Give yourself time before or after your visit to do this if you can!

Stunning museum. View from it of the city is worth the price of going there. Beautiful artwork dating from ancient to 20th century brilliantly exhibited. Some exhibits only had labels in spanish and catalan that may be difficult for English speakers to grasp. Love cafe and fancy restaurant with a view.

Buying tickets with Get your Guide was quick and easy. Tickets saved in my wallet and straight to the museum without queues. Perfect! Allow plenty of time if you want to enjoy the exhibitions. The terrace is a must! Drink a coffee in the dome and watch everything in peace. At the end of the visit, be sure to stay to see the light-music show of the fountains. Worth it! Attention: the library closes early.
