What people are saying about Barrydale

It was amazing! This is a clear recommendation for earthstompers‘ tours (5- and 6-day): the programme is a great mix of seeing a lot of different places with different activity options, there are some breaks during driving each day to relax/doze off, but it is not taking up too much time (I think the max. was 4h, but the on-board entertainment programme as well as the breathtaking views during the scenic route make it go by very quickly). Christine, our guide, was just great: we got an interesting mix of South Africans history, geography, wildlife, economy, languages, … and explored deep caves, calm (luckily) rivers in canoes, climbed through forests and over suspension bridges and learned a lot about the „normal“ life in South Africa. We seemingly crossed almost every mountain chain, each of them different in their flora, and walked beautiful beaches, before or after getting treated to tasty meals. Actually, five stars is not enough - best holiday in a long time!
