Full description
Immerse yourself into Belgrade’s history, tasting traditional local dishes and getting a unique experience of this charming capital city. You will begin your journey through Belgrade by traveling back to the 19th century, learning more about the residence of Princess Ljubica which is a great example of a typical city house of that period. You will then continue to the oldest inn of the city, where you will learn about its history and its name while having a cup of traditional black coffee. Did you know that Serbians drink coffee before lunch or dinner instead of afterwards? With this fact in mind, your next stop will be to a traditional restaurant, where you’ll get to try a local appetizer before continuing to Belgrade’s most iconic landmark, the Winner Statute at Kalemegdan fortress. You will recharge your batteries at a local restaurant where you’ll get to try traditional čorba, before heading onward towards Republic Square to learn about Belgrade’s history and culture. You can then take a walk along Knez Mihajlova Street, which was once a border between the Serbian and the Turkish parts of the city and is today Belgrade’s main pedestrian and shopping street. You will eventually finish your day in a traditional restaurant called Kafana, which is a typical gathering place for locals. You will enjoy there a portion of čevapčiči, as well as a local dessert with a modern twist.
