Meeting point

Schloss Bellevue (Berlin), 10557 Berlin, Germany Meet in front of the palace "Schloss Bellevue". It is at Spreeweg 1, from the victory column "Siegessäule" (big roundabout) just walk into the street "Spreeweg" for about 300 meters (3-4 minutes) and you'll be right in front of the palace. Careful if you look it up on Google maps as it will show you Spreeweg 1 to be behind the palace instead of in front. There are two big trees in front of the palace, one on the left and one on the right side. Meet your guide under the tree on the right side (when facing the castle)– it's the one closer to the river. The tour will take roughly 3 hours. You will need a public transport ticket so please bring one as we will take a short bus and a short train trip in-between. We'll end by Nollendorfplatz.

So fun so informative, talked about the queer and feminist liberation movement, 1920s berlin sex trade, lesbian bars, church setting up prostitution huts, all the way to the AIDs crisis and the berlin sex scenes today. VR integration with images, videos, soundbites, was engaging and assisted the stories so much visually

The tour was informative and the guide was engaging and had great knowledge of the topic, but the ‘augmented reality’ was not as good as I had expected, and I also thought we would visit in the actual places, not stand outside while he read some info about what had occurred there. The timing wasn’t great either. The tour was too long not to include a refreshment stop. Perhaps the tour could start earlier, and include a formal (reserved) lunch stop, at an appropriate location, where topical issues could be discussed in the group. (I would definitely pay more if, say a vegan poke bowl and beer lunch stop was part of the tour) I enjoyed the content and the ensuing discussions and the other group members were also very pleasant. After the tour ended and the leader departed, the guest all enjoyed supper together and continued a lively discussion.
