Full description
On your tour of divided Berlin, 3 exciting activities await. First, experience a view through the wall and get an idea of what daily life was like in both West and East Germany. How did people live in these 2 worlds that couldn't be any more different? At the second stop, meet 3 contemporary witnesses and hear their personal stories. Which story touched you the most? It's up to you; whoever you choose will be your guide on your trip through divided Berlin. The highlight of the tour is the virtual reality experience. Begin your journey from West to East Germany. Take a seat in the bus, put on the VR-glasses, and immerse yourself in the Berlin of the 80's. Next stop: Checkpoint Charlie. The experience takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour and begins every 15 minutes.

Well done tour. First we got a little insight and outlook on what to expect. Then we saw a brief look back at the history of the divided Berlin. We were introduced to three contemporary witnesses, each of whom could choose the right travel companion for himself on the virtual tour. The use of the virtual glasses was easy and possible despite the corona mask and your own glasses. The bus trip through old Berlin also made it interesting. Overall, however, the tour only lasted 45 minutes instead of the specified hour. Still something different and recommended for the money.

The film itself is fine and the organization too. Before the 3D pass there is a very interesting documentary. I chose the pass in English since it was not in Spanish, but what I found was a German movie subtitled in English, so if you read the subtitles to understand something, you missed the images that were running.

Great experience! First you got a brief insight into life in East and West via monitors. It was also clearly explained for our 13 year old daughter. Then we came to another room where several different characters (craftsman, architect and Wessi) introduced themselves. You could decide for yourself who the "tour guide" on the virtual bus should be. The trip was nice, maybe not perfect in quality, and unfortunately a bit short. We can recommend this activity!
