Full description
The Berlin Wall and Cold War tour delves deep into the darker side of Berlin‘s history. These tours go out further to reach extraordinarily impressive sites otherwise left out on bus, walking, and boat tours. This half-day tour is perfect for anyone interested in the Cold War. Head away from the Mitte district and the pedestrian Cold War sites to take in more of the former East, more of the Wall, and more of what makes Berlin the unique city it is today. Return through the former no-man’s-land death strip to visit former checkpoints and hear tales of espionage and escape attempts. Explore the contrasts between East and West Berlin on the tour.

The cold war tour was a really interesting tour. Using a bicycle offers a lot more that walking. Our guide Daniel from Canada was enthusiastic, well-informed, entertaining and highly motivated. We recommend you to use his services as much as possible. He is also a great story teller. We brought our son Eric and his best friend Fabian on the trip. They are both interested in history, and Daniel found time to interact with them during the lunch break, listening to the testimonies of two 15 yrs old kids. That was impressive. Send our regards to him. The historical sites that we visited were well choosen, and they gave a fair view of german cold war history. The bicycle tour was the peak of our stay in Berlin. Thanks a lot. Olavi Hemmilä, Sweden PS. We didn't use helmets on the tour which seemed a bit dangerous.

This tour with Lucie was excellent. However, my husband and I selected this particular tour, because of two highlights, The East Side Gallery. apparently this has not been on the programme for a while
