Full description
Step aboard a 20ft inflatable RIB Runabout and explore Hilo's culturally rich coast within the calm of the protected Hilo Bay. Take a peek at the mysterious jungle waterfall and traverse upstream on Hawai'i's longest river.   Be transported back in time to when ancient Polynesian explorers discovered this volcanic island and gave meaning and stories to the land beneath their feet. Learn mo'olelo, or oral histories, of islets with healing waters; of Pele and Poli'ahu, the goddesses of fire and ice; and the legendary Maui, a frequent visitor of Hilo, who paddled his canoe into Rainbow Falls where his mother Hina resides.
