My whole family enjoyed the activity very much. It was a beautiful and educational experience for all of us, including our nine-year-old son and twelve-year-old daughter. The hiking in Guatavita presented some minor physical demands because of the altitude, but the beautiful vriew, the valuable information provided by our tour guide and the overall experience far compensated our shortness of breath. The visit to Zipaquirá Salt Mine was also very special and enjoyable.

We were late with everything, as the traffic in Bogota was massive. Nevertheless the nice tour guides made sure that we still had enough time for everything, even though it meant we returned quite late in the evening. The Salt Cathedral is spectacular indeed. Even if you are not religious you get a good sense of craftmanship and dedication. The guides there spoke spanish only, but you get an audio guide. The audio guide seemed to focus more on the religious experience, whereas the guide focused more on the mining and building work. During dinner we happened to experienced a local street parade, very good, funny, entertaining, I loved this little extra. The laguna is high up, you need some stamina for climbing, don't underestimate that. The additional information from a different guide around the laguna were all in Spanish and - for my taste - too long. Our guide tried to translate, but I guess a lot got lost in translation. A Colombian woman shusshed our guide during the translatio

We found the Tour very inspiring even though my girlfriend doesn't speak Spanish. The driver was friendly, helpful and kept telling us about the history of the different places we visited. This gives you a nice picture of Bogotá (and Colombia). The guide at Lake Guatavita was also enthusiastic and therefore kept her attention. The hike to the lake was also beautiful. The lunch was tasty. And the visit to the salt cathedral was interesting, but a real guide would have been of added value.
