  • Segway Tour: Potsdam Highlights

    1. Segway Tour: Potsdam Highlights

Small-group Segway tours are something truly unique. Not only are Segways fun to drive, they also give you the chance to experience both the old and new from an entirely new perspective. After a personal introduction as to the handling of the Segway, your guide will escort you to the highlights of your selected tour. Your safety is very important: all Segways are approved by the German Technical Inspection Association (TÜV).  The 2.5-hour tour covers the Dutch Quarter, the Nauen Gate, the City Hall, the Russian Colony Alexandrowka, the Belvedere, the Old Dairy, Castle Cecilienhof, the 'Forbidden City' which was formerly operated by the KGB, the Historic Mill, Castle Sanssoucci and lots of additional points of interests in the inner city of Potsdam. The 3-hour tour discovers the world famous Glienicke Bridge (known as the Bridge of Spies), the Dutch Quarter, the theater of Potsdam, Babel...

Dank Martin hatten wir einen unvergesslichen Tag und Ausflug. Es war für uns das erste mal auf einem Segway und wir würden es jederzeit wieder tun. Tolle Bilder und danke nochmals für alles

  • Potsdam from Berlin: Hohenzollern Palaces 5-Hour Tour

    2. Potsdam from Berlin: Hohenzollern Palaces 5-Hour Tour

Enjoy a drive in a VW bus to the yacht harbor in Potsdam, where a luxury pleasure boat will be waiting for you. From here you can discover the fascinating palaces, villas, and parks that can be admired from the water. Pass by the old market with St. Nicholas’ Church and the former shoreline building “Little Venice” on the island of Hermannswerder before seeing the sprawling Babelsberg Park, and the palace with the same name, appear to the right. Continue on past the villas at Griebnitzsee, which are even more beautiful from the water than on land since the front sides of the houses were not allowed to face the street. You will then reach Großer Wannsee, pass by the former home of Joseph Goebbels on Schwanenwerder Island, and see Peacock Island, which used to be called Caninchenwerder, before the Palace and Park of Sacrow with the famous Church of the Redeemer comes into view. What people are saying about Brandenburg

We did this tour mainly because we wanted to try out riding a Segway. The sights we already knew from previous visits, but we still learned something new thanks to the guide's interesting explanations. Rolling around Potsdam on a Segway is good fun, and the distances between the various sights are just perfect for such a means of transportation (a little too far too walk, but too close - and cumbersome - to drive). The only weakness that the tour took much longer than initially planned (was supposed to end at 12:30 but ended with almost one hour delay), which forced us to adjust our other plans for the day accordingly.

My family and I really enjoyed the tour!

The Segway tour was a birthday present for my husband and myself from our son and daughter-in-law. Since we'd never ridden on a Segway before we decided to both take part in the tour. Shared pain is half the pain...but for us, this was pure joy! The guides' intro was nice and relaxing; we really enjoyed the route, the information provided along the way was interesting and the pauses were well-chosen. After three hours we were convinced that although this was our first Segway tour, it certainly wouldn't be our last.

Segway tours are great

Great fun for adults who are young at heart and who love discovering new 'toys;. It's great to jet around on a Segway. Really fun ride. It's also nice to do it with such a nice, professional guide, who shows you lots of lovely places in Potsdam that you'd never reach by foot or by bus in such a short amount of time. Thanks very much. Definitely recommend it. It's especially nice when it's sunny out, like it was for us on that warm late-autumn afternoon.

Beautiful city, great to escape the bustle of Berlin

Chris was a great guide, a local therefore he had plenty of knowledge of the city. Segway is a fun way to get around, if you haven't done it before then you should try it!
