Full description
Choose to begin your tour on Bruny Island or from Hobart. Cruise by some of Australia's highest sea cliffs and drift up close to listen to the awesome Breathing Rock. Enter deep-sea caves, pass through the narrow gap between the coast and The Monument, and feel the power of nature where the Tasman Sea meets the might of the Southern Ocean. On this 3-hour activity you’ll search for wildlife such as seals, dolphins, migrating whales and sea birds with an interpretive guide. At the Friars, you'll drift quietly past rare nesting seabirds and a large haul-out home to thousands of seals. The custom-built yellow boats feature open-air tiered seating providing excellent all-round views. After the cruise, you'll have time to explore Bruny Island.

This was a fantastic activity exacerbated by glorious weather and a friendly entertaining crew. The interesting geography and experience viewing marine animals was a great mix and the time flew. It would have been helpful in planning to know we could order lunch before we left and enjoy a good meal afterwards as there are few places to eat on the island .

Hue and Ruby were very attentive and entertaining. I can’t praise them enough for making this cruse a highlight for us on our Bruny island escape. Their knowledge of the environment was fantastic. Hue went beyond the duties of a tour guide / captain when he retrieved my mobile l dropped getting off the book. Much indebted to him !

My wife and I were fortunate to strike lovely weather for our cruise, so it wasn't as cold as others had warned, but I certainly could see it could be cold. It was a magnificent experience to see the rocky cliff face from the water. It was great to see the seals up close in their nature habitat and we also witness dolphins going about their business. The best part though were Matt and Ruby, who gave fantastic and informative commentary and were always checking on the welfare of every guest. A fantastic experience.
