Perched on the left bank of the Danube River, the Castle District of Budapest is the hilly, older section of the city, full of stunning architecture from the medieval to the baroque. On this 3-hour walking tour around Buda Castle (Royal Palace), you will journey back to the 13th century, and explore the golden period of the 15th century. The Ottoman invasion, the Habsburg period, and the battles of 1944-1945 all had a significant effect on the architectural feature of the district. From the walls - the most strategic position in the city - you can gaze out at one of the most beautiful cityscapes in the world. Admire the most popular attractions, such as Matthias Church on Holy Trinity Square and the Fishermen's Bastion. The tour can be extended on request, with a visit to Watertown, the narrow area of twisting streets between the Danube and Castle Hill.

Attila is an outstanding tour guide. We really enjoyed the experience. From all the sights to historical facts, we had fun. We were able to joke with him and had some very good discussions about the area. He also spent time with each of us individually, relating something interesting to that person! Highly recommend him!

Atilla is such a well informed and helpful guide. He knows quite a lot about not just Buda castle but about the whole of Budapest and he makes the tour very fun! Amazing guide, though our tour didn't work out as planned due to the unexpected rain, 5 stars to the guide!
