From Belfast: Giant's Causeway, Titanic and Dark Hedges Tour

1. From Belfast: Giant's Causeway, Titanic and Dark Hedges Tour

Visit the Titanic Museum for around 1.5 hours and learn the story of the Titanic ocean liner and her ill-fated maiden voyage. The story comes alive with innovative technology, scale models, and more. The museum expands over 9 galleries and draws together special effects, dark rides, and full-scale reconstructions. The experience contains interactive features so you can truly explore the Titanic story in an insightful light. The journey will take you beyond the aftermath of the sinking to the later discovery of the ship. The tour will also take you to the present day with a tour of the live undersea exploration center.   Enjoy a photo stop at the beautiful Dunluce Castle. This 13-century castle ruin is known as the nicest photo opportunity of all castles in Ireland and will make any amateur photographer look like a professional photographer. Next, be prepared to be met by the most spectacular sight, the Giant's Causeway. This wild and beautiful formation is a consequence of ancient volcanic activity, the solidified lava now layered across 40,000 hexagonal columns stretching for a distance of over 6 kilometers (approximately 3.7 miles). Stroll along this UNESCO World Heritage Listed Site for around 1.5 hours and see formations such as the Wishing Chair and the Giant' Boot and Organ.   There is a different version of how the Causeway was formed. The Irish giant Finn McCool, while preparing for battle with his Scottish rival, is said to have angrily fired rocks into the sea to forge a path to nearby Scotland. However, on seeing the size of his would-be adversary, he quickly retreats tearing the ground and ripping the stones as he hastily moves. Similar types of stone found in Scotland give weight to this tale of two feuding giants. Even today the Causeway continues to stir the imagination and inspire folklore.  Stop at the Dark Hedges for 15-20 minutes, a centuries-old lane of beech trees that have been featured in films and on television. In the TV series Game of Thrones, the Dark Hedges was featured in season 2 as the King's Road.

What people are saying about Bushmills

Daniel and Fergus were amazing guides. The trip was well organized and we stayed right on schedule. What I greatly appreciated was Daniels story telling about his country and the history. You can tell he is very proud of Ireland and loves sharing all of it with the travelers on his tour bus. The ride was smooth and relaxing thanks to Fergus. We hit all of the stops that are included and we were shown a few bonus areas along the way. We were fortunate to have sunny weather even though it was a bit chilly. The Titanic Museum was extremely interesting and well done. When we come back we will be booking another tour with this company for sure.

This was jam packed day from start to finish we met the tour in Belfast City centre and headed straight to Dunluice Castle for a quick photo then in to the giant's causeway. We had almost 2 hours there to explore and take photographs before heading to the dark hedges and then on to the titanic. The tour guide was excellent and the bus driver git us to each destination safely and on time even with road works causing a big diversion on part of the trip. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the sites around Derry.

Absolute maximum amount of things to see in the time frame, very comprehensive and interesting. Daniel our guide was very good and VERY honest, I left a really expensive camera on the coach when I got off in Belfast and he managed to contact me on my phone via the booking office so I could run back before they departed back to Dublin!

Great value for money trip. Our guide Shaun was great fun and very informative.

Awesome tour - we were lucky to have great weather too and a very nice guide.
